Said M'Dahoma

Saïd is a French-Comorian pastry chef in Calgary. After receiving his PhD in Neuroscience in Paris, he moved to Canada in 2015 to conduct research at the University of Calgary. Soon after moving, he realized how much he misses French and Comorian food he grew up with, so he decided to teach himself how to cook and bake. What started as a hobby became an obsession leading him to bake day and night in pursuit of the perfect technique and flavor combination for his desserts. A few years later, he decided to quit his career as a scientist to follow his true passion: baking. When creating pastries, Saïd is mainly influenced by spices and ingredients he grew up with. Today he creates new desserts that combine French and Comorian flavors. He believes that even the easiest cake can shine when the best ingredients are used! Passionate about teaching, Saïd is known for sharing simplified French pastry recipes through his blog, social media and TV appearances. He also offers online classes and courses crafted for amateur bakers. His goal is to bring a taste of France to every home, encouraging people to join him on the baking journey that brought him so much happiness. This new career allowed Saïd to teach over 300 students across the world and introduce them to the delicious world of French patisserie.
